The Hong Kong Police informed HKPinoyTV over a phone interview that they received a call from a fisherman at 9:30 a.m. yesterday, September 15, that a person was found lying upside down in a rock gap at Stone Beach, Chung Hom Kok Road, Stanley.
Police officers responded to the scene, and firefighters arrived to rescue the person, but the person was certified dead at the scene.
Upon initial investigation, the body was identified as that of a 49-year-old Filipino woman with a Hong Kong ID.
No suicide note was found at the scene, and the cause of death of the Filipino woman is to be confirmed after an autopsy.
Furthermore, the HK Police said that the Filipino woman was reported missing by her employer to the police on September 12th.
The case was classified as body found.
According to the police record, a Filipino national, aged 49, went missing after she left her residence on Pok Fu Lam Road on September 12. Her employer made a report to the police on the same day. The HK Police described the missing person as “about 1.6 meters tall, 59 kilograms in weight, and of medium build. She has a square face with a black complexion and long black hair. She was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue trousers, white and purple shoes, and carrying a black bag”.
With a follow-up call, HKPinoyTV asked if the missing person was the same as the body found on the beach, and the police answered positively.
