The Hong Kong Police received a report yesterday afternoon (Nov. 7, 3:24 pm) from a person who introduced herself as the mother of a suspected victim of a domestic worker. The mother said that her 7-year-old girl was assaulted by their domestic worker.
Officers responded to the scene at Flat 1–15 Wang Pok Street, Sha Tin.
After a preliminary investigation of the alleged assault, the police identified that the reported domestic worker is a 36-year-old Filipino woman. Further, the police said that the suspected domestic worker allegedly used her hand to assault the 7-year-old girl.
Hong Kong Police said that the case was classified as “abuse or neglect of a child or juvenile in custody” and was referred to Shatin Police District Crime Investigation Team 7 for follow-up action.
The police also said that no arrests have been made for the reported incident.
