FedEx announced a significant expansion of its self-collection network in collaboration with Hongkong Post, making it easier for customers to retrieve their inbound shipments at over 700 locations throughout the city. This initiative is designed to meet the growing demands of e-commerce and enhance last-mile delivery services.
Under the new partnership, packages can now be collected at designated Post Office counters, iPostal Stations, and 7-Eleven convenience stores—offering customers a convenient option without any additional fees. The network includes more than 400 7-Eleven stores, 165 iPostal Stations, and 119 Post Office counters, significantly increasing accessibility for residents.
FedEx has also introduced flexible pickup options, allowing customers to select their preferred collection sites through WhatsApp or the FedEx website. Upon receiving a delivery notification via email or WhatsApp, users can easily follow the provided instructions to choose a convenient pickup location.
Anthony Leung, Managing Director of FedEx Hong Kong and Macau, highlighted the importance of a customer-centric approach in the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape. “Expanding our self-collection network will enhance our last-mile delivery capabilities and improve the overall consumer experience,” he stated, expressing appreciation for the collaboration with Hongkong Post.
In addition to this initiative, FedEx has launched a Collaborative Shipping Tool aimed at facilitating seamless interactions between importers and shippers during the Airway Bill (AWB) creation process. This tool is designed to simplify the import process for global shipments, reinforcing FedEx’s commitment to innovation in the logistics sector.
The partnership with Hongkong Post marks a strategic move for FedEx as it continues to adapt to the fast-paced demands of the market, ensuring that customers have the most convenient and efficient options for receiving their packages.
