Hong Kong authorities conducted a major crackdown on suspected illegal activities in the Tsuen Wan district, arresting 20 individuals as part of an anti-pornography operation.
The operation, codenamed “FIREWOLF” and “LANDMASTER”, was carried out by the Tsuen Wan Police District Special Duties Team in collaboration with relevant government departments. Based on intelligence and in-depth investigations, the raids targeted multiple locations in the area.
During the operation, 20 mainland Chinese women between the ages of 26 and 46 were apprehended on suspicion of breaching their conditions of stay. The arrests took place in various neighborhoods, including Chuanlong Street, Sipifong, Siu Wo Street, Sha Tsui Road, Chung On Street, and Ho Pui Street.
“This coordinated crackdown demonstrates our unwavering commitment to combating illicit activities and maintaining the integrity of Hong Kong’s immigration policies,” said a police spokesperson. “We will continue to work closely with our partners to safeguard the city’s social order and protect its reputation as a global financial center.”
All those arrested are currently being detained for further investigation, and the cases will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for follow-up action.
The operation reflects the ongoing efforts by Hong Kong law enforcement to address issues related to illegal immigration and associated criminal activities that pose a threat to the city’s stability and rule of law.
