Hong Kong, 7 May 2024 – The Department of Trade and Industry through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK) is pleased to announce that two food brands from the Philippines are now available at the YATA, a Hong Kong based supermarket chain that offers high quality Japanese food and lifestyle products, starting from 7 May 2024.
According to the YATA, a 14-day international food promotion campaign called the “Asian Food Fair (AFF)” is launched across their outlets in Hong Kong. This campaign aims to promote various food products from different Asian countries until May 20, 2024. YATA will evaluate the possibility of extending the campaign based on the sales performance during this period. There are Filipino brands, namely “Lucky Me!” and “Jack n Jill,” are now available as part of the AFF offerings at YATA.
Following the positive response to the introduction of Filipino products in the Wellcome and Market Place in 2023, the YATA has now emerged as the third major supermarket chain in Hong Kong to showcase products from the Philippines. This trend reflects the growing demand for Philippine flavors in the Hong Kong market and the continuous increase in acceptance among local consumers.
Interested overseas Filipinos in Hong Kong and Hong Kong residents may find the “Lucky Me!” and “Jack n Jill” products at the following YATA outlets:
- YATA Kwun Tong – LG, APM 418 Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong;
- YATA Yuen Long – L1 YOHO Mall I, Long Yat Road, Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong;
- YATA Sha Tin – L1 & 2, New Town Plaza 3, 2 Sha Tin Centre Street, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong; and,
- YATA Tai Po – 1-2/F, Zone B, Tai Po Mega Mall, 8 On Ping Road, Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong.
