HONG KONG — The Hong Kong Observatory canceled all Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals at 12:10 p.m. Sunday as Typhoon Kajiki drifted farther from the city, issuing a Strong Monsoon Signal in its place minutes later.
The shift reflected a combination of Kajiki’s departure and a ridge of high pressure over southeastern China, the observatory said. Initial impacts include occasional strong winds in offshore areas and over high ground, along with squally showers, thunderstorms and swells.
