In an exciting announcement at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences, revealed that Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is set to expand its Marvel-themed area with a brand-new attraction. This marks the third significant enhancement to the Tomorrowland section dedicated to Marvel heroes.
The upcoming attraction, featuring the iconic Spider-Man, invites guests to join Peter Parker in a thrilling mission to safeguard cutting-edge technology from a host of formidable villains. Concept art unveiled at the event showcased a vibrant, immersive experience that promises to captivate visitors of all ages.
D’Amaro highlighted the success of existing Marvel experiences at the park, including the popular “Iron Man Experience” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!” He emphasized that the new additions will continue to bring Marvel’s heroic narratives to life through innovative storytelling and interactive experiences.
In addition to the expansion in Hong Kong, Disney also announced plans for a new Spider-Man-themed thrill coaster at Shanghai Disneyland. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus will undergo a significant expansion, doubling in size with two new attractions scheduled to begin construction in 2025.
