Segment 2 — Main Report 01
The Department of Migrant Workers has released 13.76 million pesos in livelihood assistance to thousands of returning overseas Filipino workers, as part of efforts to help migrants rebuild their lives back home.

As of June 8, a total of 5,769 former and repatriated workers have benefited from the National Reintegration Network, including 5,013 former OFWs and 756 recently repatriated workers.

The program provides financial support for small business ventures, along with entrepreneurship training and assistance for those seeking local jobs or planning to work abroad again.

Segment 3 — Main Report 02
The Philippine government has repatriated nearly 11,000 overseas Filipino workers and their family members from the Middle East since March, as security concerns continue to affect parts of the region.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Administrator Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan said the latest group of 165 Filipinos arrived Tuesday from Kuwait, bringing the total number of returnees to close to 11,000.

Authorities arranged the group’s transfer from Kuwait to Riyadh before their flight to Manila, following a recent bombing incident at Kuwait’s airport.

The returnees were received at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 and given assistance before heading back to their home provinces.

Segment 4 — Main Report 03
Caunan said all returnees received financial aid from OWWA, including transportation assistance for those traveling outside Metro Manila.

She added that the government is expanding reintegration efforts in coordination with the Department of Migrant Workers, the Department of Labor and Employment, and other agencies.

These programs include livelihood support, skills training, and job placement services to help returnees rebuild their lives locally.

She also said many repatriated workers first focus on spending time with their families, before later exploring work or business opportunities.

Segment 5 — Main Report 04
Finally, Filipina tennis standout Alex Eala has reached the quarterfinals of the Mercedes-Benz and WTA grass-court event in Berlin, marking another major milestone in her rise on the world stage.

Her run is a big moment for Philippine tennis, as she continues to gain traction against top-level competition.

Eala is now set for a quarterfinal clash against Elina Svitolina, placing her among elite names in the tournament’s high-profile grass-court swing.
