A local creative studio is throwing an exhibition called “Panda Go! Fest HK,” featuring 2,500 panda sculptures displayed at famous spots around Hong Kong during weekends in December and over Christmas.
At a welcoming ceremony, SK Lam, the founder of All Rights Reserved, shared that you can find these panda sculptures at places like the Avenue of Stars, Ngong Ping 360, Ocean Park, and Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park.
“We’ve been doing this for ten years, and based on our recent experience with [Doraemon], we chose locations that are easy for everyone to visit,” he explained.
Lam also mentioned that they’ve created six new panda characters inspired by the Ocean Park panda family, which includes Ying Ying and Le Le, along with their new arrivals, An An and Ke Ke, and the adorable newborn twins.
He reminisced about a giant panda installation they launched a decade ago, showcasing 1,600 panda sculptures to represent the panda population at that time.
Thanks to global conservation efforts, Lam pointed out that the giant panda population has now grown to over 2,500, including both wild and captive pandas.
