Ocean Park in Hong Kong is set to give visitors a rare glimpse of its twin panda cubs as they reach a major milestone.
The popular theme park announced on Thursday that it will beam live footage of the cubs onto a giant screen starting November 23, when the pair will be 100 days old.
Guests will be able to watch the cubs’ daily activities during two live 30-minute sessions and two replay sessions per day at the Whiskers Theatre.
“We’re thrilled to offer our guests this unique opportunity to observe the cubs up close as they reach this important developmental stage,” said an Ocean Park spokesperson.
The park will also reopen its Giant Panda Adventure facility on the same day, allowing visitors to see the cubs’ father, Le Le, from 10am to 3pm daily.
To commemorate the cubs’ 100-day birthday, Ocean Park will serve a special dish – pork knuckle ginger stew with vinegar and eggs – on November 23 and 24. The meal is traditionally enjoyed to celebrate the birth of a child in Chinese culture.
The twin cubs were born on August 14 to parents Le Le and Gu Gu, delighting panda enthusiasts worldwide. Their public debut is sure to draw large crowds to the Hong Kong attraction.
