The annual Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival is set to captivate locals and visitors alike with an expanded five-day celebration of the city’s vibrant food and beverage scene.
Kicking off on October 23rd at the Central Harbourfront, the festival will feature over 300 booths showcasing a diverse array of classic wines and spirits from 35 countries and regions. This year’s edition marks the first time the event will extend its operating hours until 11 pm, providing ample opportunity for attendees to indulge.
“We’re thrilled to bring back this beloved festival with an enhanced program that caters to the growing appetite for distinctive culinary and beverage experiences in Hong Kong,” said the chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board. “From award-winning cocktails to Michelin-starred cuisine, there’s something to delight every palate.”
In a move towards sustainability, the festival will forgo the use of plastic cups, encouraging guests to bring their own stemmed wine glasses. Those who do will receive a limited-edition commemorative glass sleeve, adding a touch of exclusivity to the experience.
Beyond the expansive selection of wines and spirits, the festival will also feature 110 food booths and an array of cooking workshops led by renowned chefs and Michelin-starred restaurants. Live performances will further enliven the atmosphere, creating an unforgettable sensory experience for attendees.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board expects the festival to attract 150,000 visitors, with tickets priced at HK$40 and a range of tasting passes available for HK$240 to HK$400. Tickets will go on sale online starting this Friday, September 20th.
The success of last year’s festival, which drew over 100,000 visitors and helped businesses promote their products, has set high expectations for this year’s event. Additionally, the Hong Kong Tourism Board will partner with over 300 restaurants and bars across the city in November to present a month-long “Taste Around Town” initiative, further amplifying the city’s culinary offerings.
With its extended hours, sustainability focus, and diverse lineup of culinary and beverage experiences, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival promises to be a highlight of the city’s vibrant cultural calendar. Foodies and oenophiles alike are sure to find something to savor at this premier celebration of Hong Kong’s gastronomic prowess.
