The Filipino Bowling Club of Hong Kong (FBCHK), established in 2011, successfully held its Tournament 2026 on Sunday, June 21, at the Dacos Bowling Centre in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, drawing 21 teams of Filipino bowling enthusiasts from across Hong Kong.
Event Overview
Running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the tournament brought together a vibrant community of Filipino bowlers for a full day of competition, camaraderie, and celebration of Filipino culture. The event served not only as a sporting contest but also as a showcase of the Filipino community’s strong social bonds in Hong Kong.
Programme Highlights
The morning commenced with team registration and photo sessions, followed by a formal opening ceremony at 9:30 AM that included an opening prayer, the Philippine National Anthem, and a welcome address — reflecting the community’s pride in Filipino identity.
A highlight of the opening was an inspirational message delivered by guest speaker Atty. Cesar L. Chavez, Jr., who also presented certificates before the roll-off officially began at 10:00 AM. The afternoon featured an awards ceremony, winners’ presentation, and a raffle draw, wrapping up with closing remarks at 3:00 PM.
Competition Format
A total of 21 teams competed across multiple categories, including:
Champion, 1st Runner Up, and 2nd Runner Up for Classes A, B, C, and D
High Game and High Series (Men & Women)
Most Strikes (Men & Women)
Gutter Ball King and Gutter Ball Queen — adding a lighthearted touch to the competition
Among the participating teams were Builders A & B, 4 Aces, The Lord of the Pins, MFC Magic, Cloud 9, Rock N Rollers, Diamonds, HK Pinoy Drivers, and many more.

The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and donors. Arts Book Store served as the main sponsor, while a number of community members and businesses contributed as donors, including Richard Tan (General Manager, Hotel Benito), AFreight Door-to-Door Cargo, Merlinda Babes Mercado of HKM Employment Agency, and several individual patrons.
