A digital technology lab featuring cutting-edge artificial intelligence and blockchain products from 17 companies opened at Cyberport on Thursday. The lab aims to provide an interactive experience centered on three main themes: efficiency improvement, safety, and user engagement.
Among the innovations displayed are AI personal doctors, cognitive training platforms for dementia patients, and health management applications powered by artificial intelligence. Simon Chan Sai-ming, chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co. Ltd., expressed hopes that the lab would attract market attention and create new opportunities for participating enterprises.
“The projects focus on solutions to enhance operational efficiency, data privacy technologies, and smart products that improve quality of life, including 3D model generators and AI-enabled essay grading systems,” Chan said. He emphasized that the lab will regularly update its offerings to highlight ongoing innovation.
Tony Wong Chi-kwong, the Commissioner for Digital Policy, noted that the lab serves as an essential platform for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to harness technological advancements. “The lab will enable SMEs to understand how to incorporate technology into their operations, enhancing both efficiency and competitiveness,” Wong added. He also mentioned that some products could assist the government in improving public services.
