HONG KONG — British rock sensation Coldplay is set to electrify fans with three performances at the newly constructed Kai Tak Sports Park in April 2025. The band announced the highly anticipated shows via their Instagram account on Thursday, confirming dates for April 9, 11, and 12.

The concerts will mark one of the first major events at the HK$30 billion stadium, which is expected to officially open in early 2025. With a capacity of 50,000, the venue aims to be a centerpiece for entertainment and sports in Hong Kong.

Local Chief Executive John Lee has indicated that the grand opening ceremony will attract numerous local sports stars and artists, setting the stage for a vibrant cultural atmosphere.

Coldplay is gearing up for their Asian tour, kicking off in January with a performance in Abu Dhabi, followed by a stop in Mumbai, and then heading to Seoul after their Hong Kong dates. The band last graced Hong Kong with their presence in 2009 at AsiaWorld-Expo, making this return a significant event for fans.

Tickets for the much-anticipated concerts will be available for purchase starting October 7, promising an unforgettable experience for concertgoers eager to see one of the world’s most popular bands live.
