Art Central 2026 has officially opened its doors at the iconic Central Harbourfront in Hong Kong, running from March 25 to 29. Marking its eleventh edition, the premier satellite fair features a record-breaking 117 galleries and over 500 artists from across Asia and the globe.
A Decade of Discovery
Operating under the theme “Discover Art, Make it yours,” this year’s edition foregrounds experimentation and cross-disciplinary dialogue. Set within a custom-built architectural pavilion overlooking Victoria Harbour, the event solidifies its reputation as a vital node in the global contemporary art ecosystem.
The fair offers a rigorous curatorial approach that connects emerging talent with established visionaries.

Central Stage Innovation
For its 2026 iteration, Art Central introduces “Central Stage,” a brand-new platform designed to spotlight artists who have recently garnered significant institutional recognition. This inaugural selection features six geographically diverse talents, including Arahmaiani, Esther Mahlangu, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, and the Japanese collective SIDE CORE. By isolating these impactful practices, the fair provides a focused space for critical engagement and cultural connection.
Breaking Booth Constraints
Curated by Europe-based artist Enoch Cheng, the signature Yi Tai Sculpture & Installation Projects sector returns to support creators in realizing massive, impactful works. This sector features five large-scale installations that physically break free from traditional booth dimensions, creating an arena for sensory immersion. Notably, three of these major installations are by Hong Kong artists, underscoring the fair’s commitment to fostering homegrown talent and exploring local narratives.
