MANILA – Ahead of the 2025 elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is hitting the road to get voters ready. Starting this Monday, they’ll be holding a nationwide tour to show off the new voting machines.
The goal is to let both new and experienced voters try out the automated counting machines (ACMs). Comelec wants everyone to understand how to properly use the tech before election day.
“We want to make sure Filipinos know what to expect and how to cast their ballots,” the poll body said in a social media post.
You can find the full schedule of roadshow stops on the official Comelec Facebook page. The tour will run until January 30, 2025.
In other election news, Comelec Chair George Garcia recently shared that the country currently has around 68.6 million registered voters. This is a bit below the 70 million they had projected.
